Becoming a Sponsor

Sponsors play a crucial role in enabling gas-free transactions on the CrossFi blockchain. By funding wallets and defining transaction limits, sponsors ensure users can interact with decentralized applications without worrying about gas fees.

Steps to Become a Sponsor:

1. Log in to XFUEL:
   • Open the XFUEL Admin Panel
   • Use your wallet (e.g., Metamask) to log in via Thirdweb
2. Set Up Sponsor Account:
   • Upon login, promote your user account to a sponsor account via the admin panel

Registering New Tokens

Sponsors can register tokens to the XFUEL platform to enable gasless transactions for their users.

Steps:

1. Enter Token Contract Address:
   • Provide the smart contract address of the token you want to sponsor.
   • XFUEL fetches the token name and ticker directly from the contract.
2. Verify Compliance:
   • The token must support the permit function as per the EIP-2612 standard for gasless transactions.
   • XFUEL automatically validates this.
3. Upload Token Icon:
   • Add a visual identifier for your token by uploading an image.
4. Confirm Registration:
   • Once verified, the token is added to the list of registered tokens for users.

Funding the Wallet

Sponsors must deposit funds into their XFUEL wallet to cover gas fees for user transactions.

Steps:

1. Access the Sponsor Dashboard:
   • Log in to your sponsor account
   • Navigate to the token management section
2. View Your Wallet Address:
   • Locate your unique XFUEL wallet address in Usage Tab
   • Use this address for all deposits
3. Deposit Funds:
   • Transfer the desired amount of supported tokens to your XFUEL wallet
   • Wait for transaction confirmation
4. Monitor and Maintain:
   • Regularly check your wallet balance
   • Top up funds as needed to ensure continuous service

Setting Transaction Limits

XFUEL allows sponsors to control transaction frequency and gas subsidy amounts to prevent abuse.

Configurable Limits:

1. Per IP Address:
   • Maximum transactions per IP per day
2. Per Sender Wallet:
   • Maximum transactions per sender wallet per day
3. Per Recipient Wallet:
   • Maximum transactions per recipient wallet per day
4. Gas Subsidy Caps:
   • Maximum gas amount subsidized per transaction
5. Global Limits:
   • Apply caps globally or per sponsor

Monitoring Usage
